The use of aeronautical technology in design
| For designer's days, Euro-shelter unveils, on june 12, 2009, at Artcurial the results of its partnership with Vincent Poujardieu. |
Nobody enjoys a challenge as much as Vincent Poujardieu. Indeed, the way in which he designs and fashions his furniture always requires the most versatile materials. So, in a way, Vincent and Euro-Shelter were destined to meet and to work together. Euro-Shelter’s designing and manufacturing firm has been working for years designing shelters for the army and after many years working for the military, Euro-Shelter has gradually branched out into architecture and design. Today, it supplies Vincent Poujardieu with its honeycomb aluminium sandwich panels, which are quite outstanding and appealed to the designer, because they are both very strong and very lightweight. Thus, Euro-Shelter has been able to share its aeronautical knowhow with Vincent, who, in turn has designed these 2 magnificent pieces to add to his collection of exclusive high-tech furniture. It is quite unusual to come across a firm like Euro-Shelter, which is eager to branch out into home decoration and furniture design and furthermore to share its technology and expertise.
